The Sentry Platform: Nine layers of security. Watched 24/7. One price.

Every tool earns its place on the stack. Every layer monitored 24/7 by a human-staffed security operations centre. The same platform protects a five-person office and a two-hundred-person operation. No tiers. No add-ons for security layers.

Layers of
Protection

Enterprise security shouldn’t require enterprise budgets.

Every client gets the same nine-layer security stack. No lite versions, no downgrades, no tiers based on what you can afford.

We aggregate volume across the 1,200+ endpoints we manage to negotiate commercial-grade tooling at a fraction of the standalone cost. A 15-person firm gets the same EDR, SIEM, email security, and identity protection as a 200-seat operation. The threats are identical. The protection should be too.

Every tool is selected on technical merit. No vendor partnerships that pay us to recommend their product. We re-evaluate every layer annually against the market. If something better comes along, we switch. Our clients benefit from that independence.

Nine layers. Defence in depth.

Each layer addresses a distinct attack surface. Together, they create overlapping fields of protection, so a gap in one layer is far less likely to leave you exposed.

01
EMAIL

Cloud Email Security

Microsoft’s built-in email filtering catches the obvious threats. The sophisticated ones, the carefully crafted phishing emails that impersonate your CEO, the payloads that evade signature-based detection, the business email compromise attempts that contain no malware at all, those get through.

Our email security layer deploys inside your email environment rather than filtering traffic through an external gateway. It scans incoming and internal messages, rewrites URLs so links are re-checked at the moment someone clicks them (not just at delivery), detonates unknown attachments in an isolated sandbox, and strips malicious content from files before delivering clean versions. It detects account takeover by spotting anomalies in login behaviour, flags unauthorized apps connected to your accounts, and enforces data loss prevention policies. Protection extends beyond email to collaboration platforms like Teams and SharePoint.

02
SAT

Security Awareness

Technology catches threats. People prevent them. 62% of breaches involve a person, through phishing, stolen passwords or simple mistakes (Verizon 2026 Data Breach Investigations Report): clicking a link, opening an attachment, entering credentials on a spoofed login page. Training turns your team into an active layer of defence.

We run continuous phishing simulations built from current threat intelligence, not recycled generic templates. When someone engages with a simulated attack, they receive immediate, private coaching specific to the technique that caught them. Users who fall for real-world phishing receive targeted follow-up training matched to the actual attack pattern. The platform uses adult learning frameworks and gamification to drive completion rates. We manage every campaign, learning plan, and compliance assignment. Your team does nothing except learn. Reporting focuses on trends and recovery progress, not individual shaming.

03
ITDR

Identity Threat Detection & Response

Your identity is the new perimeter. Attackers don’t need to breach your network if they can steal a login session. Identity threat detection monitors your accounts for stolen session tokens that bypass multi-factor authentication entirely, unauthorized apps installed across your tenant, inbox rule manipulation used to intercept email silently, and credential theft patterns that traditional tools don’t flag.

When a compromised identity is confirmed, automated containment locks the account. Human analysts review every alert with full context (not just a forwarded log), and our team walks you through remediation. Threat intelligence is shared across all protected organizations, so an attack pattern seen at one business triggers detection everywhere.

Microsoft 365 Security Posture Management

Microsoft 365 has hundreds of security settings. Getting them right once isn’t the hard part. Keeping them right is. Licence changes, new features, admin adjustments, and tenant-level updates can silently weaken your configuration. A secure tenant today can drift into a vulnerable one without anyone noticing.

Our posture management continuously monitors 107+ Microsoft 365 security configurations and enforces compliance baselines. When settings drift, they’re automatically corrected or flagged for review. Your posture score and any changes are reviewed with you at your quarterly business review.

As artificial intelligence (AI) tools like Microsoft Copilot enter the tenant, posture management extends to AI-specific risks. We monitor SharePoint and OneDrive for oversharing that would expose sensitive content to Copilot queries, track sensitivity label coverage, and review Restricted SharePoint Search configurations. Posture management keeps watching for oversharing that would expose sensitive content to Copilot. A full data exposure review before a Copilot rollout is available through IT consulting.

05
EDR

Managed Endpoint Detection & Response

Traditional antivirus relies on known signatures. Endpoint detection and response watches behaviour. When a process starts encrypting files, when a script tries to disable security tools, when software phones home to a command-and-control server, EDR flags it in real time and can isolate the device to limit the spread.

Our endpoint protection runs a purpose-built detection engine across Windows, macOS, and Linux. It identifies attackers hiding inside legitimate software, detects lateral movement between systems, and catches encryption activity in its earliest stages. When a threat is confirmed, the security operations team doesn’t just alert you. They contain the device, evict the attacker, and remediate the vulnerability. Incident response is part of our managed cybersecurity. External reconnaissance identifies exposed services and unsecured credentials stored on endpoints before an attacker finds them.

06
SIEM

Security Event Correlation

Individual security tools see individual events. A SIEM sees patterns. It correlates log data from your endpoints, cloud services, email, and identity systems to detect threats that no single tool would catch alone. A failed login from Vancouver followed by a successful login from Romania five minutes later? That’s not two events. That’s one attack.

Our managed SIEM ingests logs from your endpoints, firewalls, VPNs, identity systems, and cloud platforms. A filtering engine strips out routine noise so analysts focus on real threats, not false alarms. The security operations team actively hunts for threats across your environment, cross-referencing endpoint, identity, and network data to detect multi-stage attacks that no single tool would catch. Log data is retained for years to support compliance audits, insurance renewals, and forensic investigations when needed.

07
PATCH

Automated Patch Management

Unpatched software is the most common entry point for attackers. Not because it’s hard to patch, but because it’s easy to forget. Between Windows updates, third-party applications, browser extensions, and firmware, a typical business has hundreds of components that need regular updates.

We automate OS and third-party patching across all managed endpoints with compliance reporting tied to MITRE ATT&CK surface coverage. You see exactly which vulnerabilities are closed and which attack techniques are mitigated. Patches are tested, staged, and deployed on a schedule that minimizes disruption to your operations.

08
VULN

Vulnerability Scanning

You can’t protect what you can’t see. Vulnerability scanning maps your network, identifies exposed services, and tests them against known vulnerability databases. It finds the open ports, outdated firmware, misconfigured services, and default credentials that an attacker would find, before they do.

We run scheduled network vulnerability assessments and deliver prioritized remediation reports. Critical findings are escalated immediately. Routine findings are tracked through our quarterly business reviews. Every scan builds a historical baseline so you can measure improvement over time.

09
BCDR

Backup & Disaster Recovery

When prevention fails, recovery speed is everything. Ransomware, hardware failure, accidental deletion, natural disaster, the cause doesn’t matter if your business can’t get back online. Backup and disaster recovery is the safety net that makes every other layer less critical to get perfect.

An on-site backup appliance takes hourly image backups of your servers, with intervals down to five minutes available, and every one is a full recovery point. Each day, every protected server is booted from its backup and screenshot-verified. If a server fails, it can run from its backup on the appliance, typically about 15 minutes from diagnosis, or in the cloud after a larger disaster. Cloud copies are immutable and geo-redundant, designed so they can’t be changed or deleted. Microsoft 365 is backed up separately, three times a day in the cloud with an on-site copy on a Synology NAS. All backup data is stored in Canada only. Backup hardware and cloud storage are quoted separately. How backup and disaster recovery works.

Set up properly, managed for years.

01

Discovery

We learn how your business runs, what you use today, and where your security stands. No assumptions, no sales pitch.

02

Deployment

All nine layers are deployed at a pace that works for your team. Agents are installed, configurations are hardened, monitoring is activated. Minimal disruption to daily operations. Every change is documented in your private knowledge base.

03

Monitoring

From day one, your environment is monitored 24/7 by a human-staffed security operations centre. Every alert is triaged. Every incident is investigated. Results are reviewed with you at your quarterly business review.

04

Evolution

The threat landscape changes. So does the stack. We continuously evaluate new tools, retire underperforming ones, and update configurations. We keep refining your security posture each quarter, with no added cost for new security layers.

Frequently asked questions.

No. Sentry is deployed as a complete platform because the layers are designed to work together. Endpoint detection feeds into the security operations centre. Identity threat detection triggers conditional access changes. Vulnerability scanning informs patch management priorities. Removing a layer creates gaps that attackers will find. The platform is priced as a single service so there is no cost incentive to cherry-pick, and every client gets the same standard of protection.

During the discovery phase we audit your existing security tools. If you have overlapping products, we work through the transition with you. In many cases the existing tools aren’t fully configured or actively monitored for today’s threats, so consolidating them into the managed Sentry stack is a net improvement. Where a tool is already serving you well, we account for that during discovery. If you have a current contract on a tool that overlaps, we can phase the transition to align with your renewal dates.

Yes. Every managed client gets all nine layers. The threats facing a five-person office are the same ones facing a fifty-person company, so the protection is the same. Configurations are tailored to each environment, but the tooling and the monitoring standard are identical across every client.

Sentry is set up during onboarding, when your backups and configuration are reviewed and verified. Layers are deployed in stages to keep disruption low, and every change is documented in your private knowledge base. Once that’s done, all nine layers are active and your environment is under 24/7 security monitoring.
